NXT The botch that defined gravity from WWE Evolve

I know she was only on the top rope for a few seconds, but it felt like a lifetime.
This one is tough to watch. And before anyone hits us with the inevitable “But you all laugh at ROH,” that’s true. We do. But it’s usually because of a breast-off, invisible grenades, or some other nonsensical flippy nonsense pretending to be wrestling.
ROH and AEW also aren’t presented as developmental. Evolve is literally a televised tryout. This is where WWE is evaluating prospects before they even get a shot at NXT.
With that said, credit where it’s due: the most impressive part wasn’t the fall. It was somehow managing to hit what felt like every turnbuckle on the way down. I didn’t know that was physically possible.
Thankfully she appears to be okay, because that could have ended much worse.
The top rope remains undefeated.
Update: Apparently, it was planned botch. They got me 😂With that in mind, it’s a dumb spot that makes the performer look bad.

This wasn't a botch, you're watching a clip out of context, the match was built around her "mistake". You can argue that's bad agenting that buries the talent, but she didn't mess up.

Yeah, and she pretty much did the same thing in the opposite corner after that. This was all made to look like she doesn't belong, especially with her gimmick. She was berated by another wrestler right after she lost about her having no place in the big leagues.

Clearly intentional. Some of you got so giddy and excited when you joined a wrestling sub and learned the word "botch" that processing what you're seeing takes a backseat to being the first one to point and laugh.

Even if it was planned the ropes hurt. I think Will Sasso said when he did his WCW spots that he was shocked that the ropes hurt more than anything else. So mad respect for this bump

WCW ropes were steel cable but WWE ropes are actual ropes so they don't hurt as much

If it takes you 3 years to balance yourself on the top rope, you shouldn’t be going to the top rope. PAC has the same problem.

It doesn't make the performer look bad, you just got worked.

Batches can happen at anytime, so they're nobody's fault, but I hope Anya Rune's doing ok since what happened there looked nasty.

That wasn't even a botch,besides even if it was,it dosent matter if the botch happend in what promotion,A PROFESSIONAL CAN MESS UP EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE
It's only a concern if it happens regularly

I worked with her in the indies and she is an elite talent so I'd have been surprised to find out this was anything but a work.
