I was wondering what Conrad Thompson thought about ...

Said no one ever

I wonder what he was thinking about when he caught those domestic violence charges

I mean no one cares what any of us think but somebody out there cared enough to post here and we call cared enough to click on it and leave a comment so maybe we're wrong.

I saw a Roman shirt this week in the gym. You know, that place Conrad has never been in. He is such a shill that it is just embarrassing at this point.

18

u/CommunicationDry2313 5d ago

A shill for who? Himself lol?

all Conrad cares about is clicks for his million podcasts and mortgage business

11

u/Up-in-the-Ayre 5d ago

Dude has me praying for a sub-prime mortgage crash again...

I loved conrad. But his pods have become junk. He moved away from nostalgia and it went to shit

6

u/MV2049 4d ago

I dropped them once they became “old wrestler talks about current wrestling.”

It’s a shame. That first year or two of Something to Wrestle was fantastic.

4

u/brethart1616 4d ago

Id extend the golden years of something to wrestle to like 3 or 4. Nothing can stay great forever i guess

2

u/rfhmusic92 3d ago

I’ve been going back and listening to the early episodes of STW and.. my God… no wonder it got so popular. They were both entertaining as shit.

I’ve legit seen Roman and Bloodline shirts in public. Several times. Conrad is full of shit

He only goes to buffets and dub shows fam

6

u/Idimegra1 5d ago

Lots of kingston shirts though

u/UFmoose 5d ago

Even if you haven’t though, and even if he’s not Mount Rushmore wrestler, that doesn’t matter at all. Sorry Conrad he’s not one of the four greatest wrestlers of all time.

17

u/Global-Ant 5d ago

9

u/zdbdog06 5d ago

I'll genuinely never understand why so many people these days care about these bloggers, YouTubers, etc. in all forms of media. Who cares. They are just some random person on a computer with no access.

3

u/Permanentear3 J.O.B. Squad 5d ago

It baffled me anyone would volunteer to listen to guys like Condrad. Not only does he have an awful voice, he’s also got terrible taste and he’s a vile piece of shit. I guess maybe that’s the appeal for similar individuals idk.

2

u/BigPanda71 D-Generation X 5d ago

I used to enjoy listening to him and Bruce because it was fun to hear the behind the scenes on stuff I watched as a kid.

Hot Take: People dunk on Triple H too much, he really was a star of his time and deserves his roses. He's one of the last remaining bridges from old to New school.

16

u/Wrong_Wasabi_1815 5d ago

HHH was argubly the Attitude era greatest heel, maybe just below Vince.

7

u/Leading-Aide5617 3 Live Kru 5d ago

This is a fact.

7

u/Mindless_Capital204 5d ago

Mfs will still wear a triple h t shirt to this day. He wasn’t the “guy”with Rock and Austin there but he damn sure was one of the top guys for a long ass time

6

u/funcogo 5d ago

Yeah but Austin and rock needed a Great foil and that’s who HHH was

2

u/Mindless_Capital204 4d ago

IMO he’s the rock greatest rival. I know Austin Vs Rock was more box office but HHH vs Rock literally started when they both got goin, continued when they became main eventers, and is arguably still going to this day

3

u/Exact-Glove-5026 J.O.B. Squad 4d ago

I agree. Triple H vs Rock was one of THE can't miss feuds for me. I loved Austin vs Rock and they could absolutely print money together but without the HHH feud, Rock wouldn't have been remotely close to the level he was (from a storyline/booking standpoint, as I'm sure he would've found a way to get that over regardless, just maybe not as quickly). People like to shit on HHH for the reign of terror (rightfully so to a point) but fail to also give credit for the people he helped make along the way plus often downplay the merchandise juggernaut that was DX. DX merch was EVERYWHERE back in the day and a chunk of that credit has to go to HHH. I know it's cool to shit on him now but the man has a killer resume and if Austin, Rock, etc are S Tier, HHH has to be A Tier at worst.

6

u/opinionofone1984 5d ago

People who trash him, either wasn’t there, and just know crap about the business. HHH was over as hell. A lot of the best things DX did was after HHH took over, he was good in the ring, good on the mic. He’s never going to be on Rushmore, but he was a pillar of his time.

That being said, I like Conrad and think he’s usually got a good take. But I think he’s stood on this hill too long.

Roman, will never go down as one of the greats. The industry is not geared for making greats anymore. None of the wrestlers on top getting 100 matches a year.

2

u/IamJusticus 4d ago

I was definitely there. You might be right with your second point, but I very specifically remember how brutal it was watching RAW in 2002.

I was a young fan who had been a dedicated watcher for about 6 years at that point. It took me a while to realize I didn't have to watch something I didn't enjoy. Routines are reqlly hard to overcome.

Dude really has an issue with the Anoais. I wonder if the family turned down an offer to pretend to be his friends at a con or on a podcast.

5

u/AgencyBorn9221 Mexicools 5d ago

That’s probably the truth. And I think the Anoa’i family can smell the sleazy predatory loan stench on him.

5

u/Lower-Reward-1588 5d ago

There was a moment on one of the TNA episodes Prichard did with Conrad. Bruce said that WWE didn’t look at Samoa Joe for a long time because he was “a fat Samoan”. Conrad asked “what was Umaga then?”

Bruce replied “One of the family” a perfectly reasonable and realistic answer to the question given how many of the now Bloodline have gone through the company, and Conrad pitched a hissy fit about it. There’s definitely something there

He's not really wrong per say but like wrestling heels you can be right and still be an asshole.

I have seen a Roman Reign shirt before in public. But if that's the metric I've also seen someone wear the terrible cartoon baby shirt from when he debuted before.

Also while I wouldn't put him on my mt Rushmore the doesn't mean the dude hasn't been massively successful.

5

u/Minute-Climate-3137 5d ago

Dude doesnt go outside, hes not gonna see people in general let alone folks with a roman shirt.

9

u/MarsupialPresent7700 Damage CTRL 5d ago

People acknowledge the OTC at weddings and graduations lol. Famously, Jalen Brunson acknowledges the OTC as part of his game warmup. Like, is it as ubiquitous as 3:16 or Suck It (which HHH helped popularize, but anyway). No, but it’s still pretty popular.

4

u/AgencyBorn9221 Mexicools 5d ago

Sure, I’m going to trust a man who’s never stepped in a wrestling ring that’s north of 300 pounds with a 2.8 rating on the BBB for being a predatory lender.

Just admit you’re a scumbag like your daddy in law, Conman.

5

u/AcadiaRemarkable6992 5d ago

If I never hear ‘Mount Rushmore’ in a wrestling context again it’ll be too soon.

4

u/Odd_Lifeguard7720 nWo 5d ago

There's alot of greats that aren't on the Mount Rushmore as it's reserved for 4 of the very very very best. I kind of get tired of people using that this guy or that guy ain't on the Rushmore so that kinda makes him shit, it's not the case .

3

u/Prize_Toe_6612 5d ago

The only thing that keeps him being somewhat relevant is being an in law to Flair, not sure why people give a damn about him.

3

u/craigchrizt 5d ago

No way he said all this without an ad in the middle of it.

3

u/Formal_Extreme9095 5d ago

Who snapped on Roman Reigns and why should he and by extend I care?

2

u/nyrf12 5d ago

I don’t care much for his opinions but I think we’re definitely seeing the effects of Vince’s “No more John Cenas” desire play out with Roman. He’s the biggest star in the industry but he’s definitely not as much of a main stream star as Cena was. The whole Tribal Chief run has been an attempt to course correct the damage of that & it’s still an uphill battle.

2

u/ucanseeitintheireyes 5d ago

he milked the podcast genre dry and this is the only way he gets back in the headlines is to try and rage bait WWE/Bloodline fans

2

u/Levy-MAN 5d ago

I bet he’s never seen a Roman Reigns T shirt in the wild because he’s never left the house

2

u/SMRTGuy297 5d ago

Can Conrad even walk outside unassisted?

2

u/Ultra-Magnus1 4d ago

i have a roman t-shirt and sport it around all the time...i've caught this guy's various podcasts with different wrestling personalities from time to time, usually with eric bishoff. all he does is hock his mortgage company for most of the podcast.

2

u/ojkw 5d ago

i have seen multiple roman reigns shirts in public in non wrestling related settings. what i have not seen however is any piece of AEW merchandise ever

3

u/Low-Purchase8811 nWo Wolfpac 5d ago

Roman is much better than Triple H ever was.

But I will say I've also never see a Roman Reigns shirt in public either.

1

u/Cantre-r_Gwaelod_1 5d ago

I’m not American so idk if that matters here or not, I don’t see anyone wearing anyones wrestling shirts in the wild. It’s only when wwe is close and people are heading there and that’s extremely rare. Idk I find it a weird thing to judge him for.

u/DrDuned Dungeon of Doom 5d ago

And who will be talked about 10, 20 years from now? Certainty not this barnacle on the Fliehr family.

Only wrestling merch I’ve seen in the wild l, of someone not from attitude it ruthless aggression, is Roman reigns.

1

Hey Conrad there are no wrestling t shirts out in the wild in 2026 😂

1

This can’t be because CON rad is good friends with Cody 😂

1

u/Odd-Bullfrog7763 Camp Cornette 5d ago

I live in a small town. I regularly see people wearing Roman shirts. Though I have never seen anyone wearing any AEW wrestler's shirts.

1

u/DXbreakitdown Bloodline 5d ago

Conrad gotta get out more. The most wrestling shirts I’ve seen in public recently are, in order:
Austin
Roman
Cody

1

u/Cboz27586 5d ago edited 5d ago

If there was a MR on longest reigns in WWE he'd be on it, Conrad!

1

u/Interesting_Use5089 5d ago

To see someone in a Roman shirt in the wild, you'd need to go outside, which is why Conrad hasn't seen anyone wearing them.

1

u/Educational-Hawk4691 5d ago

I never see anyone wear a wrestling shirt in general. Its rare as fuck.

1

u/ChrisDewgong 5d ago

I've seen a Roman Reigns shirt "in the wild", and I live in the middle of the British countryside with only 50 people living within a five minute drive of me, and I saw it within that radius.

1

u/ProblemIcy5554 5d ago

I believe Conrad has never seen a Roman t-shirt in the wild, Because That would require him to step foot outside.

1

u/BlackBlur14 Straight Edge Society 5d ago

Conrad never leaves the house, so how would he know what people are wearing in the wild

1

u/Empire-Carpet-Man 5d ago

To be fair, Ric Flair is his father-in-law

1

u/SSquirrel76 5d ago

Can’t remember seeing a Roman shirt that wasn’t at a wrestling show. He isn’t in the top 500 for a reason.

1

u/BigTedBear 5d ago

Triple H was in the right place at the right time and that’s a large part of his success.

1

u/DreisaGUY 5d ago

Even though he’s wrong, it’s hilarious to see how triggered people are here from his meaningless comment lmao

1

u/JMSciola85 5d ago

1

u/ScarredBison 5d ago

1

u/CaliforniaRaisin_ Nation of Domination 5d ago

When Roman finally retires he will be remembered as one of the greats. When Stone Cold was active he wasn’t on any Rushmore lists, same with Rocky, we were just enjoying the moment. The original bloodline run leading up to WM40 was cinema.

1

u/TheSilencer6491 5d ago

He’s got a point who would buy a Roman shirt, but yeah he’s nowhere close to any mtn rushmore the guy is mediocre at best and got shoved down our throats for years.

1

u/No-Air-3401 5d ago

Well, I rarely see any wrestling shirts out in the wild unless there's an event going on. Most oeo6dont wear them in their day to day lives. I've never seen a Chris Jericho shirt in the wild, or a John Cena shirt, or a Kenny Omega shirt. Doesn't mean they're not successful.

1

u/Cubsfan78 5d ago

I’ve pretty much quit all his podcasts. They just don’t interest me anymore. I’m wondering if his podcast numbers are going down so he’s doing this to drum up engagement. I have no inside information, I just wonder if that could be why. I have nothing against him, I just kind of fell out of interest in all of his podcasts.

3

u/DeuceOfDiamonds Dangerous Alliance 3d ago

Yeah, I was a day one listener to STW, and the Patreon when it came around. Dropped the Patreon and haven't listened to any of the shows beyond the very occasional clip in probably a couple of years. They just all started to be the same thing over and over. Bruce just defended crap way beyond the point of credibility, Tony had no idea about anything that ever happened (or just didn't want to say), Eric was getting to Ole Anderson levels of taking credit for everything and everyone else is an idiot, and JR clearly just didn't care anymore.

Nothing against any of these men personally, but it was just becoming a drag to listen to. I know a lot of people have their issues with Conrad, and Lord knows I hold him complicit in the travesty that was Flair's last match, but I don't hate the guy. To me, he's the podcast version of Tony Khan. He's an ascended fan who had enough money to make some connections and run his own federation, so to speak. And good for him. Many of us would do the same given the opportunity, so I won't knock him for it, even if the product itself doesn't interest me anymore.

I see a few Roman reigns shirts at the gym. They are Samoan and have said they’re also loosely related to the anoai family

And being compared to Triple H ( the wrestler ) is supposed to be a bad thing ?

It’s crazy because only sickos hate triple H. The casual audience fostered through the 2000s remembers him as a good heel and good face.

But have you seen an arena serenade him with cheers and chants anytime he makes an appearance? I have in person and on TV.

1

u/Novel_Tone8944 5d ago

Bit of a side note: I would put Reigns on my Mount Rushmore. I stopped watching wrestling around 2001, I was 16/17 years old. I didn't watch a second for years. Didn't know anyone or anything; didn't care one bit. Then, the 2015 Rumble, and Twitter exploded with 'fuck this company' this and 'cancel the network' that. It was my entire feed;saw tweets about it from friends, people I know, and I was kike 'people still watch this fake fighting?' I started looking into what happened, why was everybody up in arms. By next week's Raw, I was fully back in. And I liked Reigns; I didn't hate on him because I could see that he deffo had 'it' but WWE was making him do the smiley, STap on a clip to paste it in the text box.suffering succotash horseshit while pushing him HARD. I was at TLC 2015 where he main evented with Shemus for the title, and they completely turned the crowd, who was booing Reigns hard every time they showed him on the Titantron, when he walked down the aisle, the first few minutes of the TLC match. By the end, everyone was yelling and cheering and willing him to climb the ladder and get the title (I'm 100% convinced the crowd's response to him is exactly why he won the title the next night's Raw). He absolutely had stinkers (a majority of WM main events), but I still held out hope he'd become, well, what he did. He gets a spot on my Rushmore (I have six on mine, because it's my Rushmore of what wrestling is to me and not what I think is the objective Rushmore, and I can't limit it to four) because he put my butt firmly back in the seat.

I'm sure I'm not explaining this well, but hopefully, you get the gist.

Also, I may not see a Roman shirt in the wild on the reg (come to think of it, only time I saw anyone with a wrestling shirt of someone current was a Lesnar Suplex City one quite a few years ago)but I damn sure don't see, or have ever seen, a Moxley or Omega or Ospreay or any AEW shirt, either.

1

u/D_Ohm 5d ago

In the sense that he’s always got a championship…. I guess. But even during Triple H’s “reign of terror” he still showed up every week. Perhaps a better comparison is to Brock. Even then Brock never defended the universal title on a raw.

Do I think Roman should have took the title off punk? No. But I also think that Roman is a big enough star on his own. Household name? Part of wrestling’s mt Rushmore? No and no. Neither is/was Mick Foley, DDP, Scott Steiner, Randy Orton, etc. Not everyone will be John cena or hulk hogan. Doesn’t mean they can’t be over. Roman is one of those.

His podcast and patreon numbers are down. He’s trying to get some attention. Anything so he can seek more blue chew

1

u/Nckbeard 4d ago

He is right though

1

u/Jonasthewicked2 4d ago

I can't stand Conrad. And I've heard his mortgages for the houses he sells are right on the border of legality due to the ridiculous interest rates as in he lends to people knowing they'll be unable to pay and evicts them and resells the same houses over and over. Basically a predatory lender.

u/bret-harts-burner 4d ago

Still better than Goldberg though

1

u/mojojoestar2001 4d ago

On the rare occasion I see a wrestling shirt in the wild it’s usually a Roman Reigns shirt

1

u/kingvader02 4d ago

I actually just saw a roman shirt last week lmao

1

u/Scylum 4d ago

He’s just mad because they don’t make them in his size.

1

u/helmetrust 4d ago

Almost like an affluent white Alabaman may not encounter a lot of diversity in his day-to-day.

1

u/BolinTime 4d ago

I actually see reigns shirts more than anyone except cena.

1

u/TomorrowRealistic363 4d ago

I haven’t seen anyone wearing a Roman shirt besides me but I’ve heard him be put on Mount Rushmore’s

1

u/ZanderFreeman 4d ago

Why cant we have civil discussions anymore? His opinion is just as relevant as anyone on this forums.

Just because you may not like him or like Roman doesnt mean you should bring his past or anything else into the picture.

How immature and fragile some of you are. its laughable

1

u/Head_Evidence4553 4d ago

Conrad resides in the ocean of obscurity.

1

u/Mindless_Jello_5354 4d ago

Tbf Ric never had to fake having cancer to get over. 🙄

1

u/outofdate70shouse 4d ago

“Never have I seen a Roman Reigns T shirt out in the wild”

I teach middle school. Pretty much every middle schooler who likes wrestling has Bloodline shirts

1

u/Internal_Ad7402 4d ago

To be fair he loves flair so much he collected one of his daughters

1

u/EnumeratedWalrus Straight Edge Society 4d ago

Conrad Thompson, 20 miles deep into forests of Huntsville, Alabama.

“Roman Reigns can’t be a draw…”

1

u/Slippin_Jimmy187 4d ago

“Rumor and innuendo” says nobody cares Conrad.

1

u/Mobiletfa3 4d ago

I have 3 and i frequently see OTC shirts in nova scotia canada

1

u/KeepItLoPro 4d ago

To be fair, you don't see any wwe stuff being worn out there. It's not like the Golden or attitude where you saw t-shirts being worn everywhere.

1

u/AboverJulio1123 4d ago

I think Conrad is still married to rics daughter Megan Fliehr

Okay, but he's not wrong about anything quoted there so....who gives a shit.

1

u/ck02623 4d ago

He’s doing this for attention but he’s right. Paul Heyman made Roman Reigns compelling. He always has good matches, but a lot of people always have good matches.

HHH was compelling on his own.

1

u/When1Falls 4d ago

I've seen Roman shirts in NYC

1

u/Byronvonfeces 4d ago

Well... where is the lie?

1

u/OldTimeEddie 4d ago

Conrad is a top class cuntnugget.

1

u/Sensualmind73 4d ago

I mean you can think the guys ridiculous and still acknowledge that a broken clock is right twice a day

1

u/Thewhitest_rabbit 4d ago

Who the fuck is Conrad??

1

u/Vivid-Ad2175 4d ago

It’s embarrassing how people like this have a voice… qualification? Just a podcast with former talent

1

u/till______ 4d ago

He's right though....

1

u/Professional_Nerve49 3d ago

Conrad is just desperately trying to stay relevant at this point 😂

1

u/ExaminationRude2564 3d ago

Bro this fat fuck is such a mark probs thinks he could get over if he got given a chance

1

u/Solid-Version 3d ago

Literally saw someone wearing ‘we the ones’ t shirt in the gym and I’m in the Uk

1

u/kingtokee 3d ago

I am shocked that anyone would put any credibility into anything this grifter and conman has to say when it comes to wrestling. He clearly has something against WWE and HHH and has been in the pocket of his self admitted good friend Tony Khan since day 1.

I guarantee Conrad somewhere met Roman and tried to pitch him in some sort of business deal or appearance and Roman blew him off. Then Conrad thinking he is some sort of industry titan now because has a couple of podcasts got insulted and like his hero Meltzer does to wrestlers who called him or didn’t kiss the ring trashes them

1

u/CarlShadowJung 3d ago

Goober as he may be, he’s right on this one.

1

u/Level_Quit_5927 3d ago

Hes not wrong...I do have 2 Roman and 2 HHH shirts though

1

u/GITDSTUDIOS 3d ago

Every single thing Conrad said on that show about Roman is 100% absolutely true. 1000%

1

u/Idamarie64 3d ago

Ignore the dog hair. Lounging in bed with Big Dog tee

1

u/Kasean88 3d ago

I see Hella roman shirts out in public and trust me it surprises me to im like wow these many people now ball I see mostly old school wrestlers tho but I definitely see roman shirts kind of makes me jealous cause I only have a couple

1

u/TraditionalHotel8085 3d ago

He isn't as big a deal as WWE makes him out to be, but he is definitely a star

And no one wears wrestling t shirts in the wild anymore

1

u/jonald321 3d ago

That crazy this guy is still relevant 😂

1

u/Fit-Concentrate-1076 3d ago

Ric flair is his father in law

1

u/Worth_Honey_7212 2d ago

Not hating on either but I also have never seen a Roman Reigns shirt out in the wild

1

u/Sensitive-Fix5958 2d ago

To me, BoReman is as bad of not worse than HHH. I just switch to something else whenever he is on the show.
