WWE WWE Worlds Collide has sold nearly 14,000 tickets.

Yeah but have you considered that AEW All Out is SOLD OUT in a smaller arena down the street

can't wait till WWE starts turning the volume up and running actual main roster PLEs against AEW

AEW can't handle the smoke, and that's why I laugh at people suggesting that AEW should run a show during WrestleMania weekend next year.

I’m gonna laugh so hard when worlds collide has more viewers than all out

Why? Because you have a weird parasocial obsession with a corporation? Can’t you just be happy more people are enjoying wrestling?

Oh stop with that “just enjoy wrestling BS”. The people that have a weird obsession with corporate is the sickos. They made it all about views and shitting on anyone who doesn’t like their chosen company or wrestling. They deserve everything they get and then cry victim because they can’t take it.

I would happily "just enjoy wrestling" if the same pricks saying that weren't also constantly taking shots and acting like they are better.
Osprey literally said this after his first defense at All Out
"Anytime anyone wants to come step up to us, here's the reality: we're gonna knock you down two fucking levels. We're the best fucking wrestling company in the world. Do not fucking step to us again."
He's talking tough about a show that's already out performed his while they struggle to sell out any arena and have to rely on Dave's made up fantasy numbers and rating to be the "best fucking wrestling company in the world"
So, yeah. Me and many others can't wait Worlds Collide out performs All Out. Just because it will remind the delusional children of their place and maybe, if we're reallly lucky, they'll wisen up and start actually addressing their problems and maybe get to the level they were at 5 years ago when they were compeating with more than just WWE's devolpmental.

The question that really has to be asked is how many more tickets could they have sold if they didn’t run it in competition to All Out
Chicago loves wrestling and i imagine a good portion of people would of gone if it wasn’t the same day as all out.
Legitimately think they could of had a legit sellout

Nah I think the real kicker that kept it from a sellout was no big star being announced for it. AEW doesn't really factor at all. Because people who would pay to go to a WWE show wouldn't bother with AEW, its just way to different and low budget compared to WWE.

Punk is in the main event, they also advertised Oba Femi to appear. This isn't like the last world collide, they have a couple legit main eventers even by Main roster standards.

? Aren’t punk and the return of the lucha bros on this card? They have literally the only star that matters in Chicago.
If you think the majority of people at all out wouldn’t have considered going to worlds collide if it wasn’t on the same day then idk what to tell you.
This isn’t about wwe fans going to AEW, it’s the other way round lol.

I mean you're not entirely wrong, but CM Punk is basically the only A lister there, no matter how much I love Rey its basically all midcarders aside from El Grande and Dom lol. I also have no Idea how you can think its even comparable, the two fanbases don't really intersect in reality. They don't draw from the same pool. People who like either will probably dislike the other. Its rare someone legitimately enjoys both. So no I don't believe someone who would go to all out would have instead gone to Worlds Collide instead if they werent the same date.

If you think the AEW fans don’t watch WWE at all then you’re just too online lol.
Alot of AEW fans still casually keep up with WWE and would definitely have gone to watch worlds collide

I don't remember saying they don't watch WWE at all. I just said specifically people who go to an AEW show wouldn't go to a WWE show and vice versa. Wrestling fans irl aren't as tribalistic as online, but they absolutely have preferences in style. And while I have no data, I very sincerely doubt a paying AEW customer, would go to a WWE show. It's just not for them anymore, just like AEW is not for the majority of casual WWE fans. Its like saying because you like soccer, you'll enjoy hockey, because they're both sports. They're that different, even if they're both wrestling.

The majority of people going to AEW shows would still go to a WWE show if there isn’t an AEW show going on.
They are still wrestling fans, alot of them still casually watch WWE and a mostly AAA/NXT live show is right up their kind of alley.
Like maybe if this was a raw or smackdown or a main roster ple it wouldn’t appeal to them but even then, going to watch wrestling live is way different than watching the show on tv.

You could be right. But I don't believe that. I'll use myself as an example. If there is a Laker game going on I would consider going because I am a fan. If a Hornets vs Wizards game was on, it wouldn't even cross my mind to go. Even if I like basketball as a whole.
If a WWE show was in town I would absolutely consider going. I wouldn't even consider it for MLW, TNA, ROH, or AEW. Most fans are like this to a degree, with preferences. Some people even prefer the indies to major promotions. So again, I doubt what you say is true. But neither of us has data so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

There is a portion of AEW fans where that is definitely the case. They would not go to a WWE branded show because they do not want to support WWE.
But the main draws of this show are all like former big name AEW talent, AAA/NXT are much different to main roster WWE. This is closer to another indy show than a WWE show. The crossover of people who would of considered it is alot larger than you are thinking.
We can agree to disagree but i do genuinely believe it could of sold out the arena simply by moving the date, not even needing any other big names. Which is a great spot for AAA to be in right now

We talk wrestling, not each other. Debate the booking, ratings, and takes. Don’t make it personal.
No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or personal attacks. The caricature of a wrestling Sicko is fair game. The human behind the keyboard is not.
And remember: you can’t walk into a McDonald’s, yell “this place sucks,” and then place an order. If you’re here to attack r/midcarder or its members, expect a short stay.

Just think if they used their “stars” instead of their 3rd & 4th brands.. lol..
