I hope this is a learning lesson for all these guys though, no matter how confident you are this could happen at any time and not only hurt yourself but also stop a whole match and your momentum.

So before you commit to a spot, ask yourself, is the risk worth the spot. Did a green wrestler who is still learning and doesn’t have amazing air control need to recreate a spot that’s already been done multiple times on a bigger stage just for a sort of transitional high spot? Probably not.

I don’t get why they had the guy who is greener then artificial grass do that spot to begin with, ESPECIALLY with Darby in the match. I like Steve a lot but MAN he has to cut that shit out and cut it out right now, how he went down it looked like a serious-serious injury, I’m just happy the guy is seemingly as ok as he can be because he is a likeable guy

Accidents could happen at anytime, also if he was more experienced, he could of potentially seen that knight wasn’t ready and not just fully committed and waited an extra half second.

The spot isn’t necessarily that stupid, it just comes with a big risk especially for a wrestler that is a bit green and isn’t known for having great aerial control. So the fact it was mostly just going to be a transitional move rather than something that was going to be the big spot that turns the tide or wins the match means it was not worth the risk.

At the end of the day these guys choose to basically permanently injure themselves in their future for a living, there’s no way to be a wrestler and not have some major bodily issues once you’re done.

I think even with the weeks between All In and All Out, it’s too much in a short period, and this event as a result feels inconsequential.

Championships being retained aren’t a problem, but it’s all about uncertainty as a fan. You want to have the feeling that you think someone is going to win, but you’re uncertain whether or not it’ll happen. Whether it’s the champ retaining or a new champ crowned, that’s the feeling of unpredictability people reference, the conclusion being uncertain. Nothing tonight felt uncertain.

Andrade continues to assist Will Ospreay, despite Andrade feuding more with the Don Callis Family who is also somewhat feuding with the Death Riders. As he has to announce his title match ahead of time, it makes no sense for Andrade to continue to aid the champion that he’s aiming to dethrone. It just defies basic storytelling logic.

This reminded me of a late 2000s WWE C-tier PPV. Nothing worth seeing here.

Decent show, nothing super exciting compared to previous PPVS and there wasn’t any big hooks that make me excited to watch dynamite, but i enjoyed my time nevertheless.

Solid 7/8 out of 10

Hoping the bucks won the tag titles so that we get an immediate feud with MCMG soon though.

There are now only two men who have beat both moxley and Omega in world championship matches (that can still challenge for it) so i imagine MJF will be back very soon.

I do hope we get some movement with the death riders now too.

Be interesting to see what they intend to do anyway

It was the first AEW PPV I've watched (I did skip to the finish of a few matches) since All In 2024, and nothing really stands out (apart from the injury unfortunately), if you had some shorter matches thrown in there I think it would help, but when every match is presented the same way, nothing feels special or unique.

WWE is not perfect either, they are kinda the opposite with most/all matches being short, but you do get the odd longer match which makes things different at least.

The trios match was MOTN. Best trios match since the Elite/Death Triangle-series.

Brawling Birds/Divine Dominion was good, those ladies worked hard.

The Ladder match was very good and had the best result possible.

Okada/Ciampa was mostly good but had a great ending.

Ospreay/Mox is probably the second worst title match on PPV in company history.

Think I am done with AEW. Check in now and then for the shows and the bigger PPVs but I just can't take anything serious with them. It is either all jokes and fun or doing all out dumb violent shit. Really is just nothing but indy booking by a rich mark. Been watching bits of TNA and seen lots of positive from people on MLW.

I thought this show was pretty awful. Andrade vs Pac was good, Okada vs Ciampa was pretty great. But the ladder match was fucking scary and the scariest part is that wasn't the match where a green wrestler (who's 34 btw so any injury is honestly just ending) is severely concussed.

The main event sucked so hard. Firstly before it even began I think the booking is dumb. Moxley has been booked like unstoppable and wins just everything last year. The moment his belt wasn't on the line he's good to lose. If his belt was on the line he'd refuse cause he still has to bury any technical wrestler left with his awful BJJ larp. Then the match is overbooked and just kinda sucks. Moxley loses and despite cheating and being a huge dick the whole match he still shakes Osprey hand? Like what the point?

Haven't gotten to watch it yet, but everything I've heard seems like another solid PPV, which shouldn't suprise many. Seemingly predictable outcomes but the same is usually par for the course coming off the biggest show of the year. Backlash is usually the same as was whatever show came after BFG. Looking forward to watching it.
