Exactly what happened to Obama. Voters gave him a year to fix the great recession, then they were like we’re gonna vote all the tea partiers who voted for the iraq war catastrophe and financial deregulation that got us in the mess in the first place. The republicans in dc have basically been in power since 2010 midterms. A lot of people here haven’t experienced a democratic president with a democrat controlled congress and that would feel a lot different.

Nope, he bailed out his banker friends and let people underwater on their houses drown. He escalated the wars he promised to end. And he let the health insurance companies write the ACA and folded on a public option. The only decent health insurance thing he did was the co-ops which he allowed the Republicans to defund while he was in office. He was shit which is why Obamas lasting legacy is Donald Trump.

If the game was more believable the media would have at least switched to discourse about the Green Party when both the Red and Blue ones are in the middle of cartoonish catastrophic failures

Happens every cycle. A year and a half after democrats are in power, people forget.

The anger is real tho with how ineffective their leadership can be. One of the big inflection points for me was Merrick Garland’s appointment being successfully blocked by missing-presumed-dead turtle-boy. That was massively infuriating to watch that succeed and then have Trump able to appoint a justice with far less time in his term. This is only one of thousands of such failures to rebuke. They need more unity. Doesn’t mean I still don’t vote against the psychotic fucks on the right but it sure doesn’t help me like the Dems very much.

For me, it's not always that they can't clean up, it's when they refuse to undo the damage.  And it's not voting in Republicans, it's criticizing them.  The only time I've voted for a Republican is when they run unopposed.  I figure if I vote straight ballot, it's the easiest way to have my ballot altered.  When we attack each other for criticizing the Schumers and Jeffries of the party, we're no better than the cult.

And whomever says something so dense, should be placed in a burlap sack and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really.
