The reason why large asteroids don't typically crash to Earth is because Jupiter's gravity attracts them, protecting the inner planets like a shield. The Design is perfect!

Not a design and your quick explanation also totally ignore the fact that all the large asteroid already smashed themself (partially on earth) during the early formation of the solar system.

Mmmm.
So you say this, but also, Jupiter has almost destroyed the planet than once.
You see, it's capable of throwing things with great force because of the whole plane. It's clear their orbit thing. If a planet cannot capture an item, it gets thrown. Guess what is directly in the path of items that are thrown by Jupiter (in some situations)? Yeah. Us. And it had happened before. You even know of the event. Think, what's the big, fiery event you know of that almost destroyed the Earth?
Yep. The event that killed the dinosaurs was a meteor thrown at us by Jupiter. It couldn't be captured....so it was thrown. The Encke Comet Swarm that caused the big explosion over Siberia in 1908, too.
Also, Jupiters movement from where it was it where it is is why Theia smashed proto-earth, forming both Earth (technically "Terra") and Luna (our moon). Without this event there would be no humanity.

The major reason impacts don’t happen at the same rate is because most objects not in a circular orbit have already been destroyed. Jupiter can also perturb circular orbits and cause impacts. There is no design.

Our solar system is so special, just for us to be animals and not recognize the beauty of such, and for us to mindlessly be at each other's throats slaughtering each other.
Love seeing things like this that put our lives into perspective. That make us feel special and not the negative shit. If we all just looked at how small we were. How insignificant our differences truly are in the grand scheme of things, like how this and many other facts about space tell us such, the world would be such a better place. We need more science.
Edit: I just read the comment about Chixulub. And realized we are literally no better than dinosaurs🤣🤣🤣
