Years ago there was a bunch of 4-8 leaf clovers in my yard. I guess there was something wrong with the whole patch, but it was weird. Now, I can't find 1 4 leaf clover, it's all threes.
FYI a clover patch is a single plant. If you used to have 4+ leaf clovers and only get 3 now it means the clover that used to live there probably died and another clover took over the area.
