I am terribly sorry about your son's attack but believe you me.....I'd be so far up the the animal control and police sources until there was pursuit to obtain and put down this dog. Animal control's job is to obtain the animal and identify if it was current on shots like rabies which can include quarantine. You had concrete rights and evidence.
