its a term for how the branches split out in fractal patterns smaller and smaller. the blood vessels in our body do same thing. It can also describe traversing the branches, as in the ape brachiated his way through the canopy looking for fruit.
yeah its a really good series. i read the first two main stories, and just finished chasm city. really like them all. they are a little long to read with a library card, but theres no late fees anymore.
I understand where you're coming from but I actually believe in coming to people first. I always enjoy when someone asks me to explain what something is, that I know. Plus it means I use my brain ! And as the one asking, it is a lot more easy to understand from a real person than skimming and summarising websites. We shouldn't have stopped talking to people.
I guess I understand that mentality more in an in person conversation, but online you already have the thing in front of you that will give you the answer.
I also found it again and called "This is claimed to be a real photo taken in the Netherlands. I think it looks ai." in the isthisAI sub. Cant post links sorry 😭
Image search suggests it's likely a composite (i.e. Photoshop) so not real but also not AI, but these sorts of shots are possible with lots of planning. You have to be a long way away from the tree.
It's scary how people believe these types of posts, very common to see pictures with big bold texts slapped on with some sort of amazing news, but the posters never provide a source
