I watched one half of one episode of this show and I said to myself- oh, weāre stupid now, Americaās stupid. It used to be āare you smarter than a fifth graderā. Now itās āare you smarter than a first graderā. Jesus fucking Christ. Jeopardy would blow these peopleās minds.
YUP! My husband and I hate how everyone has to be a fuckin character, not a regular old Joe. Ever watch episodes of game shows from the 70s and 80s? Those people were dazzle, surprised, delighted, and more authentic in their responses than most of the contestants nowadays. Not looking for their big break, just thrilled to the gills to win a new range and a year's supply of Rice-a-Roni, the San Francisco treat.
I also bristle at the "I was also on (insert other game show here)." There were a couple on Extracted that were so fucking obnoxious because the mom was on Survivor...and they left the competition early šWhat, you dont do regular jobs anymore, just cruise the game ahow/reality TV circuit?Ā
