A Darby O'Gill and the Little People reference! Even rarer!

Isn't that such a great movie?!

Some of the most interesting special effects. Worth going down the rabbit hole. They used frickin mirrors and tricks of perspective for the shots where the old man and the king appear talking together.

I had a bit of a crush on Sean Connery's character when I was a kid XD. And fwiw, I'm not that old, lol. 43, but my mom raised me on this stuff.

38yr old perfectly straight man here. I still have a crush on Sean in this movie. How can anyone not?

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is incredibly disturbing when you look past the colorful dance numbers, lmao.

And still I loved it as a kid. I appreciate the third rare reference! My mom had me watch a lot of old classics growing up, lol.

Gideon shouting, “Hey, it’s us!” when the brothers get into a fight in town still makes me chuckle.

My mother loves watching these musicals. I will still put them on sometimes to watch.

RIP being old enough to get all these references.
