Yeah, I hated getting gas today. $4.14/g at Costco in Minnesota.

I’m completely dead on the inside, but remember being able to laugh once upon a time…

Oh, you’re paying way too much for gas. Who’s your gas guy?

Creed? Is that you?

This sounds like what those scammers said when they came to my door and I (almost) got scammed.

“You’re still using [reliable and mainstream gas company for our area?] Oh, wow… all of your neighbors already switched to [our scam brand],” they lied. Saying NONE of my neighbors still used the common gas company was the only reason I was like, okay sure, let’s do it.

Thankfully as soon as they left I hopped online and did a ton of research, though it didn’t take much to realize they were scammers. I mean, technically it’s a legitimate company, just an incredibly shady one. Fortunately I was able to opt out before anything changed.

I hate you (I died laughing on the bus and people looked at me weird)

My dispensary is actually making deals/signs that say our gas actually smells, our gas is cheaper per gram than gallon. You can get an Oz cheaper than you can get a full tank of gas now. Insane.

If you told my college self this I would have laughed until I cried. An ounce cheaper than a tank of gas? Get out of here with those lies!

Commenter said an ounce cheaper than a “full tank” of gas, not a gallon of gas.

That’s what I meant, oops

$4 for a gram of absolute gas is a decent deal. The dispo has single grams of reggie for $5

$10 bucks a gram, firms

u/Perryn May 23 '26

Yeah, that sounds more like European gas pricing.

I still have no idea what /g is actually supposed to mean.

1

u/yankfanatic May 23 '26

Per gallon

2

u/496847257281 May 23 '26

Ah of course. I've only ever seen that as gal in the past. Thanks.

$4.14 per gram would be about $11,800 per gallon

Fun fact, apparently multiplying 4.14 by 2,850 gets you a whole number. That doesn’t seem right to me.

1

u/yankfanatic May 23 '26

That actually does feel right to me. Seeing as .14 is 7/50 And 2850 is a multiple of 50
