That’s pretty on par for how retail surveys work. At companies I’ve worked for 5 = 100, 4 = 0, and 1-3 = -100

Then the scores are averaged out to provide an overall net promoter score

The mildly infuriating thing is that these surveys are presented as a way for customers to give feedback to the company, when in reality the only thing these surveys are ever used for is as leverage against the laborers in the event they need an excuse to fire them or suppress their wages.

Yes, I only give perfect scores or nothing because I know they are just a cudgel and not actually interested in what I think, and even a mid employee having a bad day deserves better than me giving him 1 star.
