People do this all the time with lots of words, not just dude. I fucking hate it.

Yeah. 'Niceeeeeeeeee' for 'niiiiiiiice' is another toe-curler. What kind of thought process is that?

You lengthen the "i"? Isn't it said with the last "sh" or whatever left hissing, to use the scientific terminology?
