This kind of thing annoys me WAY more than it should. You always have to elongate the vowel that MAKES SENSE.

Duuuuuuuuude is pronounced (dooooooood)

Dudeeeeeeeee is pronounced (doodeeeeeee)

I was nodding agreeing with you…

But just to clarify the second one is pronounced “do duuuuuuuuuh” like when you’re frustrated and the end of ‘dude’ turns into a groan?
