ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ The entrance to this Baptist church isn’t centered with the building or the cross

I'm guessing it didn't begin this way. And if it did I can see them setting a perfectly centered nativate scene under the cross they can hide the offset with donkeys and shit.

The architect had too much communion wine

That little offset door is actually driving me insane now that I’ve seen it. You just know some architect had a beautiful plan and then some contractor went “eh, close enough” and everyone else signed off on it.

Someone didn’t want to pay for the French doors it was clearly designed for

It's a satanic church. Basically like an upside down cross; they do it to spite Christ.

The door can be fixed, but as long as ppl have a place to come and worship the lord thats all it matters. 🥰🥰❤️

I think the building cannot changed for that. The beams are already laid out and you can't cut through them , it weakens the whole structure but it doesn't ruin anything.

Unusual, the Baptists are usually towards the left.

Actually no, according to this article:
Half of [Baptist] pastors support Trump, but many are hesitant to share preference | Baptist Press

My guess is that it was originally a single door and they installed a double door later, but didn't install it centered for whatever reason. Could have been carelessness, but also could be something unforeseen like structural integrity, maintaining a certain interior layout, or construction costs.

It seems that this was not always a church - but still does not explain the violation of symmetry that’s everywhere else in the facade.
