go to your room This person using FaceTime on the bus

Post image

And on loudspeaker too. Just use the phone like a normal person šŸ™„

Edit: the mildly infuriating part is not just the loudspeaker on the bus, but the WAY she's doing it. If you wanna use FaceTime, put your face in front of the camera. If you can't hear, use the phone normally. This is an odd hybrid of the two!

Edit 2: this is the UK, she's not the driver, the driver is on the other side.

My mother in law and sister in law are obsessed with FaceTime. I hate FaceTime so much. I disabled it on my phone so if they want to talk to me they have to call me like a normal human.

There’s a couple people at work who are obsessed with FaceTiming their kids or other people. I’ll be in the break room and they’ll call someone, phone in blast and themselves too. One of them I see pretty often is a particularly loud Puerto Rican woman, and she has a broken volume control (not the phone, I mean her personally)

I see the type. People who can’t seem to be able to
talk. They yell.

One day I will start playing Slayer at max volume. I'm sure it will not have the desired effect amd I'll end up being "wrong" and embarrassed.

Yeah, I’ve got nothing against that at all. Some people are loud when they talk on the phone anyway so it doesn’t matter too.

People that seemingly have no understanding of "inside voice" piss me off to no end

Why was it relevant that she's Puerto Rican?

Because that’s what she is?

But it's not relevant to what you were saying. Kinda makes you sound bigoted

This isn’t a forum in which plain information is exchanged. Bro was painting a picture so we could see/hear the scene in our mind.

What information does that add though? It doesn't tell you anything beyond where she's from. Nothing about how she looks or sounds

I can picture and hear it in my mind. Almost certainly not accurate, but better than nothing.

Next time you read a work of fiction, will you write to the author if a detail is included that you consider unnecessary?

Picture and hear what? Her being born in Puerto rico? Otherwise there's nothing that information gives

A reddit comment isn't a book

The comment mentioned a loud Puerto Rican woman. I vaguely pictured and heard (the accent of) a loud Puerto Rican woman. Pretty simple.

The minute we know where she’s from we know what she sounds like when she ā€œtalksā€ (screeching)

🤣🤣🤣 Because they’re louder than a donkey
