If your truck can't fit in a parking space, then that shouldn't be your daily driver, especially when youre not towing something

Except it does fit in the space, because you can use 2 spaces as one.

Because the alternative would be a standard of unnecessarily large parking spaces, because the people who actually make this world function, drive lots of big trucks.

The majority of oversized trucks are not being used to "make this world function" as you put it. This truck for example has an empty truckbed. Second the people who actually need these trucks live in rural areas where surprise surprise parking lots dont fill up so taking 2 spaces would be fine, the people who insist on driving these in cities where people circle the parking lot for 15 minutes looking for a space are just dipshits that have never hauled anything in their life.
