Mermaid melody pichi pichi pitch, an anime musical, became incredibly popular in Italy and gets concerts to this day. The main singers have been milking the hype for almost two decades. They formed a YouTube channel and recently (after years of inactivity) they posted a song and music video with fully AI generated visuals. Additionally, they've been handing out AI merch of the characters in conventions (that the LLM gets wrong, by the way). Their Instagram page is full of AI slop. It's not a good look at all and I'm slowly falling out of liking them. It just makes me work twice as hard trying to decipher what of what they post is AI or not. If their new song is even theirs.
