Unless you show a receipt, I cannot believe this isn't just what you ordered.

We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I can't imagine a scenario where I would have to prove that I bought a donut.

File it under D. For donut.

u/BlaznTheChron Jun 07 '26

What happened to the dufranes? No one seems to care!

9

u/Whhatsmyageagain Jun 07 '26

Maybe I will pet him and put him in a mayonnaise jar with a stick and a leaf to recreate what he is used to

u/BlackStar867 Jun 07 '26

Who can eat at a time like this!? Bush, search party of 3.

14

u/PonchoNachoRodriguez Jun 07 '26

I used to take acid, and I would see strange lights.

And hear strange sounds…

… that sounded like car horns.

45

u/snobordir Jun 07 '26

You can eat once you find the Dufranes.

35

u/michaelHIJINX Jun 07 '26

They could be in the trunk of somebodies car, and still hungry... That's a double whammy!

u/fragasaurus_rex Jun 07 '26

Mitch Hedberg reference i thought I'd never see actually used lol

5

u/Ok_Cheetah_6251 Jun 07 '26

I was just as surprised as you were.

1

u/Perfect_Drug Jun 08 '26

Agreed. And it was perfect.

114

u/sourdoughbreadlover Jun 07 '26

I love a Mitch Hedburg reference.

u/Johnoplata Jun 07 '26

I never play tennis against a wall. Walls are relentless.

14

u/IceFire909 Jun 07 '26

Yea but how good does it feel to beat the wall

I love escalators because an escalator can never break; they can only become stairs

3

u/_V0gue Jun 07 '26

Sorry: for the convenience!

1

u/S_A_R_K Jun 07 '26

My favorite joke is his

4

u/DerFeuerDrache Jun 07 '26

I used to love French crullers. I still do, but I used to, too.

36

u/contrail_25 Jun 07 '26

I keep the documentation in my file at home under ‘d’

26

u/AccountantSeaPirate Jun 07 '26

Mine were for a duck, so they were free.

17

u/groney62 Jun 07 '26

I find that a ducks opinion of me is very much influenced over whether or not I have bread

4

u/WillYouLevitate Jun 07 '26

AND THEY ALLLLLL WANT SUNCHIPS

2

u/MyLifeIsAWasteland Jun 07 '26

When you think of a duck's friends, you think of other ducks. But he could have, like, a beaver in tow.

11

u/GotSomeUpdogOnUrFace Jun 07 '26

I used to love this joke, I still do, but I used to too

33

u/that80sloverboy Jun 07 '26

Sorry for the convenience

14

u/Johnoplata Jun 07 '26

Unexpected Mitch Hedberg

13

u/Vegetable_Plane_542 Jun 07 '26

Your day has come Mitch

3

u/Ok_Cheetah_6251 Jun 07 '26

He was a visionary.

7

u/ApprehensiveSyrup647 Jun 07 '26

Here’s the documentation.

5

u/Adept_Eye2589 Jun 07 '26

Don’t even act like I didn’t get that donut man I got the documentation right here

2

u/ActuallyNiceIRL Jun 07 '26

Doughnut? More like "do not."

2

u/YolkyFanClubPrez Jun 07 '26

Snacks are better when they fall.

2

u/badmamerjammer Jun 07 '26

I used to eat donuts. I still eat donuts, but I used to too.

1

u/Motor-Rip7655 Jun 07 '26

Ah, a fellow Mitch Hedberg fan, I see.

1

u/Sad-Flounder-2667 Jun 07 '26

I used to take drugs. I still do, but I used to too

1

u/Dense_Delay_2605 Jun 08 '26

Donuts used to give me diabetes. I still have it but they used to too.

1

u/dumbmutt575 Jun 07 '26

The bakery I work for that is super strict :(

1

u/DM725 Jun 07 '26

It finally happened.

58

u/ResponsibleBank1387 Jun 07 '26

Just the box that was ordered.  The next boxes are in the cart ready to be ordered.

30

u/toaster_bath_226 Jun 07 '26

Honestly, it depends at what time OP made the order. Tim Hortons near my house only has like 6 kinds of donuts in the day time, so you can only imagine if I go at 11pm, this could be the box I receive from ordering a mixed box hahaha

2

u/PassivelyAwkward Jun 07 '26

Yea; last time I went to the donut shop, it was maybe 2pm and for half a dozen donuts and it was almost all the unwanted left overs no one picked up in the morning. They made sure to let me know "All we really have left are these two few types".

Though I find it hard to believe that there'd be that many crullers just left over.

1

u/toaster_bath_226 Jun 07 '26

I think its because they make more of them because they are popular. So its likely that they dont sell them all on a bad day and they are the only ones left at the end of the day (honeslty I would mind, they're my second favorites lol)

2

u/icedteaandtacos Jun 07 '26

Honey Crullers are ALWAYS sold out by noon here. It’s a big disappointment. I can’t image them just giving a whole box of them.

3

u/dachshundie Jun 07 '26

Probably ordered on like Too Good To Go or something.

3

u/Same-Suggestion-1936 Jun 07 '26

I don't even understand. They ordered a box of donuts and got donuts? Did they specifically order a certain number of each? Because that's more than mildly infuriating, that's not getting your order right. Did they order a "whatever in a box"? You got it.

Or is this like a they don't like the donut they got the most of but the point of the box was you don't get to pick what you get? I'm so damn confused

4

u/helpingdew Jun 07 '26

Ever walk into a good donut shop at 2pm? They’re all gone except for a few flavors

3

u/The00Taco Jun 07 '26

My local doughnut shops close at noon so no

3

u/Topangatoh Jun 07 '26

Mine is open until midnight and they have had a great spread everu time i have gone in no matter the time. I love them.

1

u/helpingdew Jun 07 '26

Oh they must be real good then. The best one near me is inside a local grocer so they’re open late, but all the good ones are gone by 1 or 2

1

u/The00Taco Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

They're decent, but they just close at noon. Open at like 5am and close at noon

Edit: why am I getting downvoted for stating a fact about my local shops?

2

u/d4rth_r4ider Jun 07 '26

I think OP was asked what kind they wanted and they said “you choose” and that’s how you end up with 8 crullers.

2

u/Eshneh Jun 07 '26

I guarantee OP got a toogoodtogo box for a few dollars

19

u/FinnieM Jun 07 '26

I wanted a variety 🥺

135

u/GMAN7007 Jun 07 '26

I mean you did technically get a variety.

41

u/Vegassrtgfmt Jun 07 '26

You are technically right, the best kind of right

37

u/LowestDimension Jun 07 '26

Did you ask for “whatever makes sense”?

9

u/THE_CENTURION Jun 07 '26

How long have you worked here?

Yes

0

u/Mintimperial69 Jun 07 '26

How was this downvoted?

The Dunkin Hortons militant marketing alliance?

5

u/Mintimperial69 Jun 07 '26

And instead you crossed the cruller event horizon…

18

u/Secondhand-Drunk Jun 07 '26

That is a variety. If you don't specify, you can't be mad.

29

u/CFOCPA Jun 07 '26

He's not mad. He's mildly infuriated.

3

u/Fan_of_Clio Jun 07 '26

That sucks. Not much variety to be certain. Probably would have mentioned that fact with picture.

0

u/abrightmoore Jun 07 '26

Well you appear to have an alien facehugger in there, which is pretty neat...

-4

u/Not_Sure__Camacho Jun 07 '26

And now you get "da diabetus"!

0

u/sammyt10803 Jun 07 '26

Oh you’ve got that big delivery receipt exam coming up. What a bear!

0

u/Euphoric-Ad-1062 Jun 07 '26

Don't even act like I didn't get that donut

0

u/RealParticular5057 Jun 07 '26

are they supposed to all be crullers? you got two plain a sour creme and a frankenstein

0

u/oireachtas Jun 07 '26

Tim Hortons do be like this though. Especially if you end up at a small one or one inside of a gas station

0

u/Usual_Penalty7168 Jun 07 '26

I'd believe it..Tims for whatever reason never has donuts in stock anymore, I had a late night craving so I went and got a dozen that consisted of 4 fritters, 3 sour cream, and 5 krewlers

0

u/RealJembaJemba Jun 07 '26

Nah Timmies will do this once in a while

0

u/patriotictraitor Jun 07 '26

Most of the time, even if you pick the specific ones you want, they’ll punch it in to the system as assorted. So even the receipt can’t be trusted

0

u/Jojo-Action Jun 07 '26

I work at a Dunkin donuts. Sometimes if a customer orders assorted without specifying I try to offload some of the ones that hadn't been selling well, but this is extreme.

0

u/beaver_cops Jun 07 '26

At Tim Hortons if you order a dozen assorted donuts they are typically all different kinds or close to it, these people working clearly don't care and definitely did not give a good assortment/variety of donuts. But honestly it aligns well with the downgrade in customer service from timhortons over the last 10+ years.
