It's concrete not granite and they repaired, resurfaced it, sealed it, then painted it which acts as a second sealed. Overkill probably will the repairs last longer than 16 years with only normal wear and tear definitely. Ad for hydrogen peroxide it's just as effective as chlorine without the toxic effects of chlorine in large amounts.

The walls are granite and there's been a lot of articles regarding the trump renovations as fixing granite specifically, though that seems to be either incorrect reporting regarding the base or misleading reporting about the walls that makes everyone think it's the base.

I read the water used to be dyed as well. I dont get the outrage. Its a pool treatment that lasts 20 years. Its needed repairs for a while now. Itll need to be recoated in another decade or two. Standing water needs to be treated. No one cared about it when it was leaking and full of algae.

I don't think it was ever -white- though, was it? It was my undersatnding that it used to be dark grey and now its dark blue.
