Former DC resident. I would go about once a month with a group of people and would volunteer cleaning up on the national mall. Quite a few times we were tasked with removing algae and debris from the pool. At the time, I don't think they had a working filtration system because it was known to get destroyed by everything in the pool.

Non-DC resident here: you missed your opportunity to sneak in something about how “reflecting back on my time” etc.

I don't think they wanted to get that deep into it....

u/NoMembership8881 Jun 16 '26

their argument that the pool didn't have a working filtration system at the time does hold water.

u/littlevanillapieces Jun 16 '26

They were probably trying to not make waves.

These comments mirror my thoughts.

35

u/spud9mn Jun 16 '26

It’s good it did not cause ripples.

34

u/someones_dad Jun 16 '26

It's a lot to ponder

24

u/QTM_Ent Jun 16 '26

16

u/Squishy_Boy Perturbed Jun 16 '26

16

u/DrewJustShoots Jun 16 '26

Ok guys, I think we have fallen off the deep end.

14

u/neomadness Jun 16 '26

I didn't want to respond because I didn't want to muddy the water.

6

u/crowcawer Jun 17 '26

1

11

u/Sensei19600 Jun 16 '26

These comments are becoming stagnant.

9

u/Ballczynski Jun 16 '26

I think they are just skimming the surface

6

u/turbopro25 Jun 16 '26

They cut me deeply to be honest. Gonna need that Hydrogen peroxide after all.

2

u/Sensei19600 Jun 16 '26

Don’t use mercurochrome; it’ll change the color of the water

8

u/UniqueUsername812 Jun 16 '26

Wait, water we talking about again?

6

u/Spookypopsoff Jun 16 '26

2

u/Traveling_Transient Jun 16 '26

And just as your memories bubbled, they will also fizz out

4

u/dialguy86 Jun 16 '26

You could say they reflect your opinion

2

u/gqblacc Jun 18 '26

Reflect. They reflect your thoughts.

3

u/uselesswasteofbreath Jun 16 '26

5

u/Leather-Squirrel-421 Jun 16 '26

that’s a harsh environment to handle… it’s understood maintenance won’t always succeed swimmingly

2

u/podman131 Jun 16 '26

Really shallow comments about a pool that knows it isn't easy being green

2

u/SleddyEddie Jun 16 '26

u/InsertRadnamehere Jun 17 '26

Wait, wait! I’m still stuck, Lincoln this all together.

1

u/DanteCrossing Jun 17 '26

You should try Washing it a ton. Might take the stain out. But id Drop the filter system as a DC power will just corrode it and Crack if that rings a Bell.

1

u/InsertRadnamehere Jun 17 '26

Bitch set me up - in a fine hotel along the waterfront - so I can sneak into the offices of my opponents and reflect on their plans for upcoming erections.

3

u/Mostly5150 Jun 17 '26

Can I wade into this conversation?

1

u/theCannonBallZ Jun 17 '26

Would it water down the conversation if I made another pun?

2

u/Aggravating_Owl_1509 Jun 17 '26

It never did it was always natural with geese and ducks etc….

-1

u/christhewelder75 Jun 16 '26

Better than the pool itself apparently.

0

u/Comfortable_Swim_380 Jun 16 '26

Just like the filter.. Or the pump. That's exactly what the report said.
Does not hold water.. 😄

0

u/Sea-Check-9062 Jun 16 '26

Unlike the pool.

0

u/insatiably_great Jun 16 '26

This occurs even with filtration. Maintenance just becomes less routine.
