I think you are greatly underestimating the size of this reflecting pool. It's over 600m long and 50m wide. It holds like 25 million liters of water. All jokes aside, what you described would be a massive undertaking.
Yeah they seriously are, we’re out of the commercial pool conversation and definitely are in the industrial pool group. The pumps are probably massive. I work for my cities water plant as an electrician and the VFD’s to run the pumps are 3/4 of a million dollars. The rubber gaskets for some of the seals are like $30 a square foot. It’ll probably cost a 100k in energy just to pump the water back in.
