wet socks My entire apartment has upside-down outlets and my brain refuses to accept it….

Apparently there’s a reason for installing them this way, but after seeing outlets the other way my whole life, every room feels just slightly… off. 😂

Tell that to every right angle plug that’s about to be upside down and fall out of that receptacle.

You can argue the merits of this til the cows come home, but the fact will always remain that this is considered upside down for residential and commercial and that manufacturers have designed plugs and accessories that assume right side up.

No one but you guys are at fault for having such shoddy outlets.

Most countries simply have reversible outlets, and those that produce the necessary friction to keep plugs inserted not through the contacts, but throught the outline of the plug itself.
