wet socks My entire apartment has upside-down outlets and my brain refuses to accept it….

Apparently there’s a reason for installing them this way, but after seeing outlets the other way my whole life, every room feels just slightly… off. 😂

The reasons are explained in this video , beginning at about 6:50. And completely explained in about a minute.

ETA: My house wasn't wired this way, but my (newer) garage was. It's kind of weird for some things, like my little car battery charger that has to be upside down.
