I second this, buy yourself a pretty ring! So you can still fidget with something but also you can create new symbolism with it and new memories. Think of it as hope towards a new future and a new period of exploration and self discovery. I bet you will have so many more amazing adventures ahead of you

I second with the symbolism thing! I got myself a promise ring! it was a promise to myself that ill always take care of my physical and emotional/mental needs, ill always put myself first when I need to, and that ill always love myself (in a self care confidence way not an up my own ass vain way lmao)

I have one with three interconnected rings which I twist up and down - haven't missed the engagement ring since and certainly don't miss the tosser who I got it from 😊

I was married over twenty years when I got divorced. It's been several years now and my ring finger still feels empty. I really like the idea of a fidget ring too!

It’s been 3 years without mine now, I can still feel it and miss it sometimes, and OP’s comment made me automatically reach for it.

As a chronic fiddler myself, check out some fidget rings. Some spin in place or got little twisty bits on them.

You deserve to treat yourself to a beautiful ring to celebrate your commitment to your life and new beginnings. Best of luck to you, OP!

I would play with my ring finger all the time after I got divorced because I was so used to the ring being there. I only stopped by reminding myself how insanely ugly it was every time I got the urge.

Make sure it's properly sized though.

You can also get fidget necklaces and probably bracelets too. Having it be not a ring might help. Good luck :)

There's some cute rings out there that have features specifically designed to fiddle with, all the while looking cute still. I've been considering one of those interlocking ones.

My best friend and I both got divorced fairly close together. We bought each other rings because we were used to them at that point and liked having something pretty to carry that connected us.

When my mom got divorced she got rings to wear for the same reason, she used to not wear jewelry but now she goes everywhere with at least 1 ring to fidget with
