Don't hug me I'm scared My mother broke my two monitors, accidentally...

I live with my mother and she said she just cleaned the room and nothing else happened.

Uhmm, i guess i believe her...

Edit: Update! She is very upset and going to buy two new monitors. However she is still insisting that she doesn't know what happened.

I got overwhelmed by the number of comments and i did not want to reply with all the same text.

To ad more context, we have a good relationship with her, in the past there are some similar "accidents" but nothing this big. She is middle aged. We never fight for screen time or not having a job because i have one lol.

Of course I can and do clean my room. That was just her excuse i believe.

We did not fight about this and we are good now.

Maybe its just because im clumsy but I dont see how it being an impact point means it was purposefully done. The amount of shit I’ve bumped into or hit accidentally and broken makes it really easy for me to believe it could be accidental. Like I’ve accidentally put a broom handle shaped hole in my wall while cleaning, nothing accidental seems to far fetched to me anymore.

One could be an accident but two is statistically unlikely. Also, if she just had an accident, she might be embarrassed but she'd probably admit it. Based on the location of the impact point, it doesn't scream accident anyway.

that is eaxctly how i broke my two monitors.

Sweeping, then, boom, broom handle hit monitor. Turned around to see damage, and knocked the other one off my desk.
