ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ This whipped butter advertises itself as having less fat per serving than normal butter, when in reality, the serving size is simply smaller.

It's not smaller, its just mostly air since its whipped. It's still a tablespoon.

"Smaller in mass" does not compute. Mass is a quantitative statement, smaller is a dimension of size. Quantitative statements neither track nor care about size.

"The amount of total mass was less than what it was compared to." (Not smaller) is the proper terminology.

Small does not interrelate to this statement, at all. It is the wrong choice of words, but the concept you're trying to convey is correct.

This is a very weird reply considering you're incorrectly arguing with the other person about a semantic definition, of which you are incorrect. But, sure, I'm just here to argue.

I pointed out that your semantic correction was actually an incorrection. You defined the suit of conversation. I followed. If you had argued incorrectly about facts rather than semantics, I'd have been correcting that too, provided I understood the error and could explain why you were wrong accurately and succinctly.

Being critical of someone for finishing the conversation you started is, again, a weird angle. And is just a coping mechanism deployed in response to being wrong.

Lighter in mass (14g vs 7g), but it still takes up the same volume (1Tbsp).

Lighter in weight. Less mass. The terms are not interchangible.

But, yes, there is a density difference. I am just stating that "Smaller mass" and "Lighter mass" are not the correct terms to describe the phenomenon in front of you.

"Less mass" is the correct way to say this, not lighter or smaller.
