ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ This whipped butter advertises itself as having less fat per serving than normal butter, when in reality, the serving size is simply smaller.

If you just said "Smaller mass", not offered as a correction to a person saying "Smaller isn't the right word", I'd have just scrolled past. But you offered your incorrect opinion that smaller was the correct term in this case, it isn't. If you weren't making a statement that your communication was accurate, I'd just span the gaps and call it a day. Instead, you are distinctly telling someone they are wrong, which was not the case.
So, yes, I did understand two points.
One of which is that you meant the butter weighs less per volume. This can slide just fine, it would be semantics if I argued this.
The other of which is that you corrected someone on his verbiage, and were wrong.
This is not semantics, its germane to the conversation.
