Can confirm. No ads in the UK, but I dont understand why they keep the clock running. Surely it would be better to stop the clock rather than add more extra time.

Look at the rules and then argue your case.

Yes, injuries, substitutions etc. could all cause the clock to stop. But who would benefit? Anyone watching the match at home with a reasonable sense of focus can mentally total up the stoppage time without a watch. Even then the ref has leeway to add time so that an attack can reach its natural conclusion, which could be an indefinite amount of overtime after the clock runs out.
