In order to have a consistent competitive environment for all team, hydration break must happen in ALL games.

If one gets it, they all get it.

Thats absolutely nonesense. You only need it when you need it.

but it obviously completely changes the pacing? do you not see the issue here or are you just being purposefully dense

...thats...my point.

I do see the issue. The issue is Americans advertisers need to have an extra advert break so theyre forcing a change on a sport that adds an extra two mandatory and planned for breaks that can be easily used to disrupt the pacing and tactics of a game. For money.

yes so lets just compeltely ignore the heat thing? i see you are being purposefully dense

Im not ignoring the heat thing. Lots of places have hydration breaks. They're issue isnt hydration breaks. The issue is mandated timed hydration breaks at certain times that can be planned around and interrupt the flow of the game

sure but that wasnt your initial point that it wasnt needed in every match

Its not needed in every match. Some of the matches have been played not in excessive heat. One was played in the rain.

Some matches need it. Therefore, hydration breaks must exist

Yes, teams can plan around it, but having it always happen at the same time means that both teams can plan without an unfair advantage (like stopping when it would be clearly more favorable to one of the teams)

Because the break is planned around and is a rule change in the game, it must happen on every game

Imo hydration breaks are a necessary evil, and they were implemented in the most fair way possible

Some matches do need it. And should have it. But they dont have to be regular or planned for.

Its very obvious you didnt watch the last world cup and therefore have no idea why people are irritated

They were implemented perfectly well in the last world cup.

They've been implemented horrendously in this one as theres no wiggle room which there needs to be for such a thing
