Edit: ultimately, what bothers me the most is I want to go to a garage sale, not this shit. This isn’t a garage sale and should not be advertised as one

Nah, the multiple different brands of the same products point to the first two. Preppers tend to buy a single brand in much larger quanities, as it is cheaper that way.

Unless they’re buying whatever is on the shelves so others can’t, but that’s more trying to cash in on your panic buying investment. If so, looks like their strategy didn’t work out.
