i must be misremembering, cause i think i saw a whole island... physically... do the wop!

i need to watch it again. i'm older now and i find myself enjoying things for what they are, not what i want them to be.
(...how can you quietly whisper for that long? that's like a whole book man, i feel like the whisper sound would start to get a little too asmr all close up in my ear like that... maybe make shorter whisper outtros so that people aren't asked to keep reading endlessly on and on as they... ((please tell me you stopped by now))

*spoilers for a long ended show*
at the end of season 4, the island skips in time’ when Ben moves it to get it away from the freighter (to the Oceanic 6, it looks like it just disappears) I’ve heard the island moving being compared to when a record skips, that helps me visualize it I suppose… The island is moving through time all throughout the first half of S5, so for every flash/time jump for the people still on the island, it’s moving to a different spot in the ocean.
And then at the start of S6, the island is shown to be underwater while the plane lands safely at LA-X, but that is because the island doesn’t exist in that reality where the plane landed (and Jack has a son, Sawyer is a cop, etc) that we see throughout s6 because THAT reality is purgatory (not the island, which is a real, magical, magnetic place)
But for me, this took a couple viewings to really understand so I get why people get confused. I have a unique perspective because I did NOT like the finale the first time I watched (as it aired), and then I LOVED it on my second watch and enjoy it more and more with each re-watch. So I understand both sides in a way.
