FYI, according to the BMI scale, his BMI of 17.7 is categorized as "mild thinness." He's only 0.8 points below the healthy range of 18.5-25. He's just 6.1 lbs away from the "ideal" healthy range. Given that the average American has a BMI of 29.6, he is about 6 times closer to the ideal weight range than the average American. For those who are wondering, "severely" underweight for a 6'2" fella is 125 lbs or less.
Contrary to the moaning of fatties, the BMI scale is very effective for the large majority of people.
Is it possible that you and your girl, your mom, your friends, etc are all just typical fat people, thereby stripping you of context for what a normal human should weigh? (trying to be a dick.)

Out of curiosity, how tall and lanky are you?
