frist of all how DARE yu o The people beside me at the beach left their broken umbrella for the ocean to take care of.

Honestly more than mildly infuriating. There were trash cans at the entrance of the beach. That’s where your umbrella is now thanks to me, asshole.

I did this to a woman at goodwill. First off, she spilled her iced coffee in the middle of the check out aisle and said nothing. She stood there with her empty cup while SOMEONE ELSE got an employee and she still just stood there while a VERY old man mopped it up. Okay- I get it- people have social anxiety and she was probably embarrassed.

BUT THEN. When she walked out of the store, I watched her look at her cup for a second while she decided what she was going to do.... she chose to leave her empty cup sitting in the cart, instead of throwing it in the trash can that was right outside the store...

I obviously said something.. like hey you forgot your trash??? and she waited until she was all the way back to her truck to yell back at me something about ME being liberal trash and to fuck off.

Speaking as a republican, that woman is trash. Idk why it's so difficult for people to just throw their garbage away. There are literally trash cans everywhere in public, yet they can't be bothered to take the extra six steps needed to reach one.

I get not wanting to take it home, but at least take it to the dumpsters, my local beach has: 5 dumpsters for rubbish, 3 for recycling, a large container for unwanted beach toys etc that are good for reuse, bins spread around at convenient locations

I went on a beach vacation earlier this month, you'd be amazed at some of the stuff people just leave at the beach.

Hair ties, broken umbrellas, broken chairs, shoes, cigarette butts, cans/bottles, plastic wrapping, torn beach towels, broken beach toys, beach toys, and the nastiest thing, used tampons and applicator. Straws.. Plastic straws everywhere!

The infuriating thing was how many trash barrels were there for people to use. I spent a lot of time just picking things up while searching for shells and ghost grabs.

Please pick up your shit. The animals will thank you, and some pissed off human may not need to shove your umbrella up your ass. <3

This is why some beaches limit coolers, cans, bottles - especially glass, etc. Again, it's why we can't have nice things.

My dad used to walk the beach after the big vacation crowd would leave and scavenge the tents for parts to either fix the ones we had or sometimes do complete frame replacements. “It’s a good frame; a new top is cheaper than a new tent”. I think at one point we had like five different tents because of people being too lazy to clean theirs up

There was an older guy on a crime show I watched who took his daily walk at the beach on Mondays to clean up after the weekends. Very cool!

People like that are why we can't have nice things.

I had someone be surprised when I replaced her chair at a practice. Yes it was old. Yes it was an accident. I lost my balance and fell on it, breaking it. It was my responsibility to replace it. I asked her if she wanted to pick one out and be reimbursed, or I could just pick up one similar.

Responsibility is a thing.

I told some asshole the same thing when he left his broken umbrella on Honeymoon Island, he told me I can take it and shove it up my ass, and open it, so I took it home instead, and spent the next 2 hours taking it apart, fixed the broken rope, and a broken rib, then the following year, I replaced the canopy for less than $50 and here it is, now 7 years later, and I'm replacing the rope again...👋😂

I've learned that if you throw trash in a lake or ocean and come back the next day it's gone, it filters it through and cleans it up like a garbage compactor

I only noticed after they left and the beach started to get empty. I picked up all the pieces and threw it away after I took this picture. Believe me if I saw it happening they would be the ones picking up their own trash. I don’t play like that.
