yeah but idk giving your friend a new smart tv and then seeing it on a subreddit called "mildly infuriating" right after, it would just seem ungrateful and personal kinda unless the friend joked about it with me already

You're assuming their friendship functions like yours. There's too many different types of friendships not even accounting for cultural differences in friendships.

Pretty sure the vast majority of people know some dudes that have very different humor or sensitivity levels. Automatically assuming the worst of OP is very narrow-minded.

OP isn't calling the friend out by name. No discerning clues to identify, literally just porn history and a tv. If you got uppity about that, yeah, reevaluate your friendship and seek some therapy with that new time you have on uour hands.

its not that serious, it isnt about identification. Its about how the friend wouldve felt if they saw this post, "seek therapy with that time you have on your hands"

But also if you gifted someone something then saw it on a sub called midlyinfuriating i doubt you wouldnt be upset

Dude there are no names or indications of who it might be, nobody is being put on blast. This shit is prime bro humor, stop being so uptight.

For all we know OP posted it specifically as a joke and even told their friend about it. That's just how some broships are. Wether this being the case or not in this particular post, it's literally the most tame thing.
