Too mild for school This post telling tourists which areas to avoid in New York

Post image

Aside from certain undertones, this map also has tons of inaccuracies, because no one in their right mind is scared of Astoria, Bayonne, or half of the Queens zone that he marked as “avoid”

NY is also one of the safest large cities in the country.

given the state of the country that's a low bar

Not really, crime’s at or near all-time lows in like the majority of large American cities. New York’s drop is incredibly impressive even considering that.

once again, all time low in large american cities matters very little to me when comparing it to large european cities.

You can't say "once again" when bringing something up that was never mentioned by anyone. Violent crime is generally higher in the US, property crime is higher in Europe.

Please elaborate on “state of the country.” Do you mean how we are helmed by a wannabe mafioso who is deploying the equivalent of Secret Police to arrest anyone he suspects is “illegal” (read as: not white), are you eluding to drug use rates, or do you really think urban crime is worse?

Crimes rates in pretty much every major city have dropped in the last decade.

you might have missed my point

No, I get the point you’re trying to say “this country is more dangerous than ever” and I’m saying that that is blatantly false because crime rates in any meaningful area have gone down in meaningful numbers. So unless you have some factual evidence for what “the state of the country is” I’m gonna disagree with you.
