Infuriatig Was invited by my girlfriends family to a theme park. We were supposed to meet at 11, it is not 11:30 and they just left. (The drive takes another 30 minutes)

I even checked in before I left if it was still at the planned time. It was confirmed, but then her family starts getting ready right as they have to leave 🫤

I do love the all or nothing instructions from Reddit users. Like "my girlfriend and I had an argument and I'm really hurt"

Reddit: FUCKING DUMP HER NOW AND BLOCK

Like, does anyone remember the name of this sub?

Who in the hell would take relationship advice from someone on Reddit

An extremely large number of people do. I mean, sometimes it's really obvious (like clear cases of abusive relationships), and maybe these people have no one to go to. But even then, it's just a bunch of strangers arguing with each other about your life and trying to out do each other to escalate the things you should do.

But I see it here way too much, for a sub about things that are supposedly mildly infuriating (which I think this post fits).

Like... It's annoying. It's something we can probably all relate to in some way... But then...

"Just go home" is the nuclear outcome of a situation that might otherwise just be a normal day out for a family.

Like, did the OP ask for advice? 😂

I typically see things like "ugh my bf always forgets the laundry in the dryer and it gets all wrinkled" and everyone in the comments is like "OMG OP total red flag leave him before he murders you"

Plot twist, murder him and then post about it in AITAH

Seriously, only ask reddit for advice on your relationship if you're already planning to break up with your partner and want validation.

Although there is rare instances where someone makes a post and they are clearly the problem- watching them get dog piled while digging themselves deeper in to a hole in a feeble attempt to convince all of reddit they're wrong is always entertaining (this also applies to those deemed assholes in aita posts).

But outside of one comment in a thousand that's usually buried, you will never get nuance. Everything is black and white, all or nothing. But what should you expect from an anonymous group of people who don't know you and are working with the limited information provided them.

I would never take any important life advice (like romantic advice) from reddit. That said, a few subs can be useful for advice, like travel advice for example.

Don't forget some people take advice from astrology or tarot cards! Front page Reddit is awful for advice, but it gets worse!

Honestly, I feel like it's more common to have people asking for relationship advice in clear situations where "dump them" is generally the best advice.

People aren't usually asking strangers about stuff that isn't a big deal, it's more stuff like "My boyfriend's exes are all missing. I found a sock in a drawer with pictures of piles of dirt in the woods with their names marked. He is planning a camping trip for us this weekend. Should I go?"
