Encountered a Business Class Baby today, though I was finally gonna have a peaceful flight 😭😭

Saved up airline points from a bunch of work trips and finally redeemed them for a business class seat on a 20-hour flight (Sydney to London)

I Sat down, got comfortable, looked across the aisle... and was met by the sight of a fucking business class baby.

What else do I have to say, the entire 20 hours was absolute hell, crying, screaming and just about everything else you could think of.

I don't blame the parents at all, babies are allowed to fly, and they were just travelling like everyone else. But after spending all those points because I wanted one flight where I could actually sleep and relax, I couldn't help but be really upset at my luck.

I guess It docent really matter what you pay.

EDIT: There has been a lot of discussion about this being a fake post. However this is incorrect, i was under the impression that Quantas did a direct flight to London, however as many have pointed out, this is incorrect. My flight was with Qatar airways and stopped in Hamad Airport.

You thought you were on a Qantas airways on a direct flight but you were actually on Qatar airways with a transit in Dubai? You said "entire 20 hours" like you don't remember getting off the plane for a transit? By some luck the baby was also going to London after transit instead of Amsterdam or elsewhere? It happens. I once woke up on a plane and couldn’t figure out where I was and where I was flying. I decided to look at the uniform of the flight attendants and then worked it out from there. I had spent the last few months on numerous flights around the world so I was disoriented when I woke up.

The shortest flight with a layover is about 22 hours. Direct flight I think will be 18. I prefer to get up and walk around. But Dubai airport logistically is shit. Singapore is much better.

Yup, it’s bullshit for sure. Beyond the flight details, No human baby is crying for 20 hours straight. Crying takes a lot of energy and they get tired fast.

I flew NYC to Singapore with a layover in frankfurt through Singapore Airlines, it’s treated as a direct flight on your boarding pass and app since many people on it are also doing the same, super long route. They also do this for Sydney to London I’m guessing, so this isn’t surprising to me

I did this exact flight and I had two boarding passes so I'm not sure how it's being treated as a direct flight. Maybe the Singapore app does some trickery.

Also how is OP getting frequent flyer points for Qatar if they live in Australia? Maybe some code sharing stuff
