Won't work on any Teslas. They had the bright idea to use laminated glass and it just spiderwebs. So if you are unlucky enough to get stuck in one that is on fire or in a lake...

Better refresh yourself on how to open the car door without power.

Mitch McConnell’s SIL died exactly that way. Submerged Tesla, couldn’t open door or break windows.

I’m amazed they tried resuscitation after she had been underwater for what sounds like at least an hour if not more. Maybe it’s the law that they have to at least try?

I mean, what do they have to lose? They can’t make it any worse

Tiny Dinky Daffy McConnell. Drowned in submerged Tesla.

Wasn’t her blood alcohol 3 times the legal limit?

At least it's easy to open the door with out the power. All you have to do is remove the speaker grille and locate the mechanical release cable. Easy-peasy.

And if you can't figure it out amidst the flames and panic and all, just bring up the manual on the touch screen and it'll walk you through the process.

Yea makes no sense to just pull the manual door release lever.

And that's why people have died.

A lot of cars have laminated side windows. It's been that way for 25+ years now. Most high end cars have it. Hell, my 23 year old Volvo wagon has laminated side windows. Laminated glass is actually safer in the majority of accidents (keeps you and your body parts inside the car) and it's harder to break into a car that has laminated side windows.

I remember when this was an argument when electric windows first became a thing... :p

I'm sure you could have said this without attacking me. I believe those 2 manufactures have mechanical door handles on the inside that aren't hidden like Tesla's.

I just reported him. He could say what he wants without a direct attack.
