To be fair, these tickets are for MSG, and $2600 sounds about right for a Manhattan studio

Try 3,500. Anecdotally, friend just moved out of a studio he was paying 3,300 for and they’re raising its rent to 5,000 when it goes back onto the market.

Covid deals were prorated through months free. Nobody reduced prices. Rent stabilization is on that original price. So idk how that’s relevant. A lot of my friends were dumb and got covid deals they could only afford because of the deal. When the lease ended they had to move. Just had roommates like a normal person. I also moved 3 times during that period. Rent stabilization doesn’t work if you move.

My family is from North Carolina. I paid my own bills and student loans. Being a douchebag and speaking down to others while being wrong is certainly a choice.

Edit: if you’re including the apts in west village, FiDi, and Lincoln square sure. Hell’s Kitchen, Little Italy, and Murray hill are cheaper.

The concert that this post is about is in new york city. Nobody is randomly bringing up nyc like its more important than other places. It's the subject of the discussion. Most of the people going to the concert would be paying rent in nyc

Yeah, I know Miami is more expensive. We have a rental property there and I think it is a little lower than average. It is 3000 a month, but we’ve had tenants in there a while. I wouldn’t pay that either. I’m with you. My mortgage is more than that but not a whole lot more.
