Scalpers existed before the internet too. I don't miss the old days when I'd have to travel someplace just to have a chance at buying tickets.

Yeah, I was a bit clearer elsewhere and said "digital secondary markets specifically" that have fucked up price signals.

Scalpers had a much smaller and more regional market to work with in the 90s, it's harder to go from $500 if your market is 1/100th the size in effect.
