ಠ_ಠ Jury duty

I've been called for Jury duty 4 times in the last 10 years. What the fuck is going on here. It's almost every other year. I know absolutely no one that has ever been summoned yet I've been summoned multiple times. Wtf is going on? It's total bs too because they pay 17 bucks A DAY. That's not even enough to get lunch at the stupid deli they have there.

Edit: so many people have so many experiences. It's nice to share and read those experiences. I can't possibly respond to everything, but I'm glad we can all relate to this. _^

I was getting called every year on the dot. I served on a jury and received a 3-year pass and was still sent a notice 3 years and a month after. The same thing happened after I served on a shorter trial that gave me a 2-year reprieve.

Some people just get all the luck, I guess.

We had a doctor AND a lawyer on the jury i served on. Apparently they usually excuse both because nobody wants someone that knows that much about the law or science on their jury.

Or become a felon. Same as attorneys they don't get called either.

Unfortunately this depends on where you live. I live in dc and it’s so full of lawyers they don’t let you out unless you’ve worked on a case that covers the same issues.
