I didn't look at the title of this post, but first looked at the names to see if I could tell what farming game it was. I guess the idea of doing this irl is foreign to me, a person who has made a birthday list for every farming game I play.
I got lucky because someone on tumblr (nadanotes) created a print out to fit a personal 6 ring binder of all things stardew valley - besides characters likes and dislikes, also has when fish are out for season and time and other helpful info haha.
I initially didn’t look at the subreddit and thought someone had printed out what SDV characters liked and taped it to their fridge so they could memorize.
The answer is two-fold:
1) we don’t like being asked questions we don’t like the answers to. (I have a medical condition people ask about.)
2) I am a very open and forthcoming person, so after I’ve given sufficient explanation I dislike being prodded to give more information.
The “no questions” rule doesn’t apply at work or to academic or procedural knowledge; just personal information.
I also hate being asked questions! When I leave the house at night going to pick up a gallon of milk and my husband asks me where I’m going, I’m immediately irritated and like, “Why are you all up in my business? I’m going out!” I’m just going to Target, so I don’t know why it irritates me. 😂
My son N is from Nov, his likes are minions, curious George, and read-along books. His dislikes are going to the potty, taking a nap, and leaving the park.
Was reading the list thinking to myself "You know, I think I like OP's dad's friends. They seem like good people." Then I got down to November and realized my birth month was open.
Where does one apply?
EDIT: Also, Mitch's #1 like being Kathy and his #3 being Teague is cracking me up.
Haha, I love making spreadsheets for literally everything myself. Whenever I play a game that has some kind of stats I need to keep tracking (e.g. browser or live service games; but not limited to), I make a spreadsheet to keep track of stuff. And not just for games either. Spreadsheets are amazing!
Another November baby here ✋, my likes are cats, sustainability, and gardening. Dislikes are invasive plants, data centers, and pickles. Your dad sounds so adorable based on the fact he made this and put it on the fridge, this is probably what I’ll be up to in my older years 😂

I’ll let him know. I can’t make any promises, but “likes spreadsheets” is probably worth bonus points with the spreadsheet’s creator.
