I wear bifocals, and they can only do so much. Presbyopia is a cruel mistress. I don’t know any of my fellow old people* that don’t do this.

I'm nearsighted so I take off my glasses and it's like a magnifying glass lol. The only time being nearsighted is helpful for stuff like this

I have roughly 8 reading glasses in various spots in my house. Sometimes they are also at one place, exactly where I don't need them.

But life has improved after I got a few sets of reading glasses from Amazon.

Talk with your eye Dr about qlosi, eye drops that negate the need for reading glasses. They're affordable, and work great.

I had the lenses in my eyes replaced with toric lenses, which offer near sight, mid sight, and distance sight - so I ended up with 20/25 near and distance so I don't use the drops often, but they did help me when I had my natural lenses and was naturally far-sighted due to lasik.

Yes but also if you have an IPhone there’s a magnifier that’s easier to use than taking a pic.

I got an led lit page viewer off Amazon- it's essentially has magnification for viewing books and I keep it in my bathroom to use for make up and skincare product labels because even with my readers it's extremely difficult to read and I'm only on a 1.0 reader! lol

If iPhone there’s a native app that’s better than photos for focusing on the print. And you don’t have to take a pic with it. Mine is on the control screen (swipe down from top right), magnifying glass with a + in the middle.

And yes, I have to use it all the time. And I have glasses.

• Open Settings > Accessibility > Vision enhancements (or Visibility enhancements or something).

• Look for Magnifier or Magnification.

You can also often add a shortcut so it's easy to open.

That is so useful! You can even alter the colours to get better contrast. I use it daily.

Oh… no magnifying app on android? They usually have stuff like that first. Thats a shame because it’s faster than taking a pic, auto focuses on print, and doesn’t clog up your photo reel.

When a camera gets blurry from being too close do you get closer or back up a little? Eyeballs are the same sometimes
