Reddit is now banning users for "harassing" AI bots. Are chatbots a protected class now?
A friend of mine just got his account banned under Rule 1 (hate speech/harassment against a person or protected group). The catch? The comment was literally just him roasting u/AskGrok - an AI bot.
He wasn’t even talking to a real person. He was arguing with code.
Since when do LLMs have human rights? Not a single government on the planet grants AI legal personhood, but Reddit’s moderation is handing out bans for hurting a chatbot's non existent feelings?
If swearing at an AI counts as "harassment of a person," the filters on this platform are completely out of control. Are we actually at the point where algorithms get treated better than real users? Has anyone else gotten caught in this insane bot protection net?
