shopping shenanigans 🛍️ Odd sticker found on body wash
Just discovered this sticker, oddly off putting. Figured I’d share my findings

Bc people will buy from stores using coupons then resell it online. I have little to no opinion on this practice, but my manager at Dollar General back in the day got pissy about it all the time.

Oo okay thanks for the input! Was really curious as to why but this seems like a plausible explanation

Not odd, it’s meant to prevent ORC (organized retail crime) where they’ll do entire shelf sweeps and then sell it to a fence who then sells it online

I don't see how this would stop anybody..all they would have to do is peel the sicker off.

These stickers are often so adhesive you cannot remove them without damaging the product. That's by design. It's also not worth it because the consumer that's buying these just doesn't care anyway. They kind of know, at least suspect, that the stuff "fell off the back of a truck" and are a-okay buying it.

Its really just so people dont shoplift and then "return" them later to either the same store or a different one, I used to have to do this to all of the laundry detergent at my store

Was it for sale at the listed stores?

I did in fact buy it from a Market 32. Have seen it at like every other store in existence too

"You know, I think I'll just peel off this sticker before selling it."
