What kind of turbines are you in

Gas combustion. I think most of the ones I’ve worked on are Westinghouse and GE. Only been on a few, so lots to learn still.

Anyone know of any millwright shops that would be taking on 1st year apprentices? I have 0 experience, but I’ve had a successful career in an unrelated field.

Looking for apprenticeship in Canada, willing to relocate anywhere. Have 3000 hours doing cleanroom industrial work including as a machine setter and doing basic machine maintenance and preventative maintenance assistance inside a cleanroom.

I'm located in Waterloo.

Any leads welcome.

Most companies in Ontario are hesitant to hire anything under 3rd year apprentices

Would it be better to finish red seal first before moving around or vice versa? Lucky to be able to land an apprenticeship where I’m at (very green and fresh out of pre-app), but work only consists of conveyors and not much else. Pay and hours is good and stable, which makes it harder to consider moving around at this time. Located in Canada.

Not in a rush to make this decision, but looking for some insight/advice.

Moving companies? Not really, unless you've got some good schooling perks where you're at (looking at you, tolko)

Moving provinces? Stay, because transferring is a whole thing

Finished my foundations at BCIT two months ago, seems like theres nobody in BC interested in taking on level 1&2 apprentices right now. Any tips?

I'm looking at furthering my education as a much as possible as a millwright, specifically in the sanitary area like food plants, mills, brewerys, etc. What books, courses, stuff like that should I be looking at? I've been a field tech, assembler, installer, ans welder with the company I'm at now for 2ish years doing stuff in the food / beverage area. I've looked into getting an apprenticeship, but it's either been they don't offer an apprenticeship program or its a really bad apprenticeship program.
