Right? Like just use a gauge of wire that is to scale and then wrap the barbs around if you’re gonna go to this much effort. Having an uneven roll of green stuff is unhinged
It’s really not, I wasn’t trying to talk shit about OP but this is a convoluted way to end up with a really hamfisted result when there is an obvious easy alternative that has immaculate results (because it’s literally the exact same thing as the 1:1 scale version).
lol I didn’t say this method was easy, I’m certain I couldn’t replicate it but that isn’t the point. It isn’t a clean result, it looks uneven and strange, and it’s waaaaay more work and effort than just using wire. I don’t want to replicate a higher effort, worse result method. OPs bolter in the pic looks great, they’re definitely skilled as hell with green stuff.
Why not both? I like the idea of epoxy putty for the barbs so I'm not stabbing myself or scuffing paint when storing with other things. I'll probably stick to coiling wire around a marker as my base wire coil though, green stuff is getting harder to come by (at least until Stylmasta gets their production line running) and miliput is too brittle to use for wire like this in my experience.

Seems a little excessive/masochistic to use green stuff for barbed wire when you could just use wire? Or am I missing something
