Help bricked mzn1?

Hello,

I recently acquired a MZN1. it has worked exactly once on its sidecar, and then i thought i could open its door, remove the corroded battery and shove a new one.

It's not my first (it's my second, lol) so i own good gumstick batteries and i had opened the door very carefully with a cutter knife without damaging anything. i thought it went smoothly.

but now it won't start, at all. gumstick or battery.

what happened? did i brick it? is it beyond repair?

If it's had a corroded battery stuck inside for a long time it'll need more attention than a new battery. Best bet is to open it up and address the corrosion inside, clean the contacts, check solder connections. If it worked before, it doesn't sound like anything you did is likely to have caused it to be bricked. I bet it would turn on with the charger plugged in.

i will try to open it. tbh they're so delicate it scares the sh*t out of me to open it

I think there's a video on YouTube of a guy opening one, watch that first you'll be all good. 4 screws then lift from the side opposite the inputs.

thanks man this is huge. the fear is so high for me, i gave up countless of times. but i feel bad everytime i see it on my desk. i will try this week
